Welcome to the Tiny CAP Site! We are a very new Community Service with two locations in the Township of Tiny (45 minutes north of Barrie). This site is designed to present information about our services and locations as well as provide useful links to other local, provincial and federal services.
Our MissionThe Community Access Program (CAP) is aimed at helping both urban and rural communities develop and extend inexpensive access to computers and the Internet. Such CAP sites are located in libraries, schools, fire halls, and other public buildings in your community. Persons of all ages are able to visit these CAP centres free of charge to learn both basic and intermediate skills which may range from simple mouse control, word processing and email, to shopping online, and scanning and editing images. For more information visit our "services" section. The Community Access Program, which began in 1994, was created as part of the federal government’s plan to build up Canada into the largest connected country in the world. Our CAP centres are just two out of thousands that have flourished throughout the country in an attempt to reach the goal of 10,000 centres nationwide.
